Mitihoon – Saha Pathana Inter-Holding Public Company Limited (SPI) is advancing its commitment to drive sustainable development of all Saha Group Industrial Parks by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ratch Pathana Energy Public Company Limited (SCG) to develop clean energy projects for supplying electricity to customers across Saha Group Industrial Parks. As part of this initiative, the first floating solar project was officially launched and located on a reservoir next to the runway of the airport within the Saha Group Industrial Park – Lamphun. The project aims to concretely promote the use of renewable energy in Thailand’s industrial sector. The MOU and Private Power Purchase Agreement (Private PPA) signing ceremonies were held at the SILK 1 meeting room, Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangna.

This project reflects the vision of the Saha Group’s executives in supporting the transition to clean energy, especially in the context of increasing influence from environmental regulations such as the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and Thailand’s upcoming Climate Change Act. The adoption of renewable energy has become a key strategy for enhancing competitiveness in the global market. It also aligns with Thailand’s Power Development Plan (PDP) and the Alternative Energy Development Plan (AEDP), which target over 30% renewable energy in the national energy mix by 2037. Moreover, this initiative extends the success of a pilot project implemented at the Saha Group Industrial Park – Sriracha since 2021.

Mr. Sontaya Tabkhan, President of Saha Pathana Inter-Holding Public Company Limited, stated: “This project reflects our strong commitment to supporting clean energy systems within the industrial sector through collaboration with a strong partner like RATCH Group. Together, we aim to establish a sustainable model to advance Thailand’s industrial sector with a balanced focus on economic, social, and environmental aspects—especially in a context where renewable energy is becoming a fundamental pillar of future industrial development. This initiative not only addresses environmental concerns but also strengthens the confidence of customers and investors who prioritize ESG and Net Zero commitments. It reinforces the company’s dedication to driving energy and environmental sustainability”

Mr. Klahan Suksawai, Managing Director of Ratch Pathana Energy Public Company Limited, added “The Floating Solar project has a total installed capacity of 4.12 Megawatts and is being developed by Sahacogen Green Co., Ltd. which is a subsidiary of Ratch Pathana Energy Public Company Limited under RATCH Group. The electricity will be generated and distributed to AGC Micro Glass (Thailand) Co., Ltd., with commercial operation expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026. This represents a significant step in expanding the renewable energy business in partnership with the Saha Group, reflecting close cooperation and a shared commitment to developing clean energy. The initiative aims to support concrete growth and the transition to clean energy use within Thailand’s industrial sector. Beyond reducing energy costs, it enhances competitiveness on the global stage and supports the nation’s resolute and sustainable pursuit of Net Zero targets.”
