Mitihoon – True Corporation Plc, through True Move H Universal Communication, announced a major milestone in enhancing services for both True and dtac customers. The company officially received new spectrum licenses comprising 70 MHz in the 2300 MHz band and 20 MHz in the 1500 MHz band from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). These licenses are effective from August 4, 2025, for a period of 15 years.
This milestone positions True Move H Universal Communication Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of True Corporation Public Company Limited, as holding Thailand’s most comprehensive and complete spectrum portfolio, featuring a comprehensive eight-band holding covering low, mid, and high bands, including 700 MHz, 900 MHz, 1500 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz, 2600 MHz, and 26 GHz. This portfolio enables highly efficient network management and supports the delivery of enhanced 5G and 4G services nationwide.
This strategic investment marks True Corporation’s continued commitment to developing Thailand’s digital infrastructure. It responds to rising user demands and lays the foundation for emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and other digital innovations that will play a vital role in everyday life and the country’s digital economy.
The official license presentation took place at the NBTC office. These newly acquired spectrum bands will significantly improve the digital experience for True and dtac customers in three key areas:
- Superior Speed and Stability
The 2300 MHz band, with a wide bandwidth of 70 MHz, will support continuous 4G service using existing infrastructure. It is also ready for future 5G upgrades. This will greatly enhance download and upload speeds for streaming, news, gaming, e-commerce, and video conferencing. - Support for Future Data Demand
The 1500 MHz band is an ideal addition for expanding download capacity, especially when utilized through carrier aggregation with other low and mid bands. It supports rising mobile data usage and enables broader coverage with greater efficiency. - Nationwide Connectivity
Both the 2300 MHz and 1500 MHz bands will improve 5G and 4G coverage across urban and rural areas. This ensures that people in all parts of Thailand have fair and reliable access to high-speed internet.
