Bangkok, Thailand – 10 September 2025 – Siam Validus, Thailand’s leading crowdfunding platform for SMEs with over 50% market share, today announced its official membership with the Thailand National Credit Bureau (NCB). This milestone underscores the company’s continued commitment to Thailand’s financial ecosystem and its mission to provide digital, efficient, and responsible credit access to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Siam Validus is the only crowdfunding platform in Thailand to secure membership with the NCB — a strong demonstration of its long-term commitment to responsible lending, transparency, and innovation. Siam Validus is a joint venture formed between Validus Group, Southeast Asia’s largest digital supply chain financing platform which has facilitated more than US$5 billion in SME loans, and SCG Distribution Co.Ltd.

Through its crowdfunding license, Siam Validus provides unsecured lending to SMEs within the closed-loop supply chain. The company is in advanced discussions with leading domestic and international financial institutions to raise additional funds for deployment through transaction-backed supply chain ecosystems, while actively exploring expansion to large companies for providing financing to ease their account receivables and account payables by providing easy access to unsecured financing to their suppliers and buyers.

Becoming a member of NCB marks a strategic leap for Siam Validus, enabling the company to both pull credit bureau reports in real time with SME consent—reducing current turnaround times from two weeks to near-instant—and to responsibly report SME exposures and payment records back into the national system. This creates a virtuous cycle of transparency, faster decision-making, and stronger credit profiles for SMEs.

Quote from Siam Validus CEO, Mr. Anand Periwal

“This achievement is a critical step in Siam Validus’ journey to serve Thailand’s SMEs with greater speed, credibility, and responsibility. Access to credit continues to be a key barrier for SMEs, which account for a large proportion of Thai businesses and contribute over 35% of GDP. By joining the NCB, and as the only crowdfunding platform in Thailand to do so, we are not only accelerating loan approvals through faster access to credit data but also ensuring that SMEs’ positive repayment histories are recorded to unlock larger opportunities in the future. Our commitment remains clear: to empower Thai SMEs with innovative, digital-first financing solutions that help them grow, thrive, and strengthen the economy.”

Quote from NCB CEO – Dr. Luxmon Attapich

“We welcome Siam Validus as a new member of the National Credit Bureau. Their strong market presence, digital-first supply chain approach for large corporates, and deep commitment to Thailand make them a valuable addition to our ecosystem. NCB looks forward to supporting Siam Validus in promoting transparency, responsible lending, and inclusive growth for Thai SMEs.”

Quote from Validus Group, Group Head of Risk – Mr. Hermanto Freddy

“Siam Validus’ membership with the National Credit Bureau (NCB) reaffirms our long-term commitment to Thailand. By accurately and transparently reporting borrower credit limits and exposures, NCB enables us to deliver financing solutions with greater efficiency while upholding the highest standards of responsibility to our investors and lending partners. This partnership strengthens our ability to provide a sustainable and trusted financing platform that supports the growth of Thai SMEs.”
