Mitihoon – GPSC has announced a major milestone in its collaboration with GCL, a leading low-carbon green technology enterprise and expert in Data Center solutions, along with other strategic business partners. The parties have signed a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) to establish a joint venture company to advance the development of Data Center business under the “Data Power x Smart Power” strategic framework.
Mr. Worawat Pitayasiri, Chief Executive Officer of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, stated, “The development of Data Center business is an integration of GPSC’s strategies—ranging from new business development, maximizing the value of existing power plants that are approaching the end of their PPAs with EGAT to ensure highly reliable and competitively priced electricity supply, and supporting the scale-up of green energy for Data Center through Direct PPA policy. It also aligns with the capabilities of our group companies, such as CHPP and CoolConnext, in providing solar power plant EPC solutions and district cooling services for Data Centers. All these strengths position the Data Center development under this collaboration with maximum potential.”
GPSC is confident that this partnership will create a fully integrated business model, strengthening Thailand’s capability to become a true regional hub for Data Centers and renewable energy.
