Mitihon – Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL and its business units), in collaboration with Bangkok University, organized the Krungsri x Bangkok University Business Case Competition 2025 under the theme “Profit with Purpose: Developing Sustainable Growth Strategies.” The award ceremony was graced by Mr. Hiroshi Kurihara (3rd from right), Deputy Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Transformation Officer from Bank of Ayudhya and Asst. Prof. Dr. Somyot Wattanakamolchai (3rd from left), Vice President for International Affairs from Bangkok University, who provided keynote remarks and presented awards to the winning teams. The event brought together executives, representatives from partners organizations, faculty members, and university students to celebrate innovative approaches to combining profit and sustainability in tangible and creative way.
The competition aimed to provide university students with unique opportunities to develop business thinking, in-depth data analysis, and responsible strategy creation.Participants collaborated with business professionals to apply expertise in finance, technology, and ESG principles, addressing a real-world challenge: “How can startups and SMEs in Thailand leverage a sustainable business model to achieve both financial success and a strong ESG impact?” Through this hands-on experience, the students gained invaluable insight into how modern businesses create “shared value” for organizations, customers, and the environment.
Supported by sustainability partners—including Bank of Ayudhya, Krungsri Finnovate, Schneider Electric, and the Social Enterprise Thailand— the competition recognized six winning teams, with the Grand Prize–winning team, Team CANDY, receiving 10,000 baht.
This competition marks another significant milestone in the partnership between academia and the business sector, reinforcing their shared commitment to building a more sustainable future for Thailand.
