Mitihoon – True Corporation has reinforced its network readiness by maximising 5G performance on the 2600 MHz spectrum with full bandwidth and modernizing 2300 MHz equipment around Sanam Luang to support the world-class Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok 2025 (ATMBKK), taking place this Sunday, 30 November 2025. These enhancements will accommodate approximately 48,000 runners and participants from 86 countries, ensuring seamless, high-performance and secure digital connectivity throughout the event.
True Corporation has strengthened mobile network capacity at key start and finish points, including MBK Center on Phaya Thai Road and Sanam Luang on Ratchadamnoen Avenue. The company has deployed rapid Cell-on-Wheel (COW) and temporary sites, expanded overall network capacity, and optimised event-specific network parameters to align with real usage behaviour across all race routes, supporting runners, event staff, Thai and international media, and spectators along the course.
Key network enhancement measures include:
- Maximised full-band 5G capacity on the 2600 MHz spectrum with full bandwidth at the finish area (Sanam Luang)
- Deployment of high-performance equipment modernizing for the 2300 MHz band around the finish area (Sanam Luang)
- Deployment of two Cell-on-Wheel (COW) mobile base stations at Sanam Luang
- Installation of a temporary base station in front of SIAMSCAPE, opposite MBK Center
- Optimisation of network parameters during the event based on real-time usage patterns
- Strengthened 5G and 4G coverage along major transport corridors to support international runners and attendees
- 24/7 network monitoring via the Business and Network Intelligence Center (BNIC) integrated with AI-based Network Monitoring systems
The 8th ATMBKK is recognised as a World Capital Marathon, positioning Bangkok among global cities hosting international-standard marathon events. The race features four categories: the full marathon (42.195 km) and half marathon (21.1 km) starting from MBK Center on Phaya Thai Road, as well as the 10 km race and 4.5 km Family Run starting from the Supreme Court area at Sanam Luang on Ratchadamnoen Avenue.
In addition, True Corporation has reinforced network performance and fine-tuned signal parameters along the race route passing key Bangkok landmarks, including the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall, the Equestrian Statue of King Rama V, Chaloem Phrakiat Park, Wat Saket (Golden Mount), Lan Chet Sadabodin, Democracy Monument, Lan Khon Mueang, the Giant Swing, Maha Chai Road, as well as routes leading to the Grand Palace and Sanam Luang. These upgrades ensure uninterrupted digital usage – from social media sharing and live streaming to essential communications – delivering maximum efficiency, reliability and a premium experience throughout the marathon.
