Mitihoon – TAGTHAi Joins as a Sponsor of “HENRY’s First Dates” to Highlight New Perspectives on Thai Tourism and Create Economic Opportunities for Local Communities
Thai Digital Platform Social Enterprise Co., Ltd. (TAGTHAi), the developer of Thailand’s national digital tourism platform, has joined in supporting “HENRY’s First Dates” a Family Rom-Com film produced through a collaboration between Hollywood studio Sony Pictures International Productions (SPIP) and GDH 559 Co., Ltd. (GDH). The sponsorship aims to promote Thai tourism through the influential power of the film industry, inspire meaningful travel, and support broader income distribution to local communities.
Mrs. Kanokwan Boonchai, Chief Executive Officer of TAGTHAi, said that film is one of the most powerful forms of media for sharing Thailand’s stories, beauty, and distinctive identity with broad audiences, both in Thailand and overseas. When presented through an emotional and relatable lens that reflects people’s feelings, lifestyles, and local ways of life in each area, film can create a strong connection with viewers and inspires them to visit the real places featured on screen.
TAGTHAi believes that quality tourism begins with inspiration. Film can play an important role in connecting people with destinations, local stories, and the unique ways of life of communities. TAGTHAi hopes that “HENRY’s First Dates” will encourage audiences to visit the locations featured in the film, helping to generate income for local businesses and communities in the areas.
“HENRY’s First Dates” showcases the beauty of Thailand through filming locations in several provinces, including both major and secondary destinations. These include Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi, and Chiang Rai. Together, these locations reflect the diversity of Thailand’s tourism offerings, from natural attractions and cultural experiences to local ways of life. They also have the potential to attract tourists and generate greater economic value for the communities and destinations involved.
This sponsorship aligns with TAGTHAi’s mission to promote Thai tourism through advanced technology and digital innovation, while also driving inclusive and sustainable tourism. The company aims to create opportunities for tourist destinations and communities across Thailand to share in the benefits of tourism growth in a meaningful way.
“HENRY’s First Dates” is scheduled for nationwide release on September 17, 2026. The film is expected to be another meaningful work that presents the beauty of Thailand through stories of love, connection, and travel. It may also further inspire tourism and bring fresh momentum to Thailand’s tourism economy on a broader scale.
