TAT and KTC Join Forces to Promote Northeastern Thailand Through ‘Isan Greencation’ Campaign

Mitihoon – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Northeast Region, in collaboration with Krungthai Card Public Company Limited (KTC), has launched the ‘Isan Greencation’ campaign to promote sustainable tourism in Northeastern Thailand during the Green Season.  The initiative aims to highlight the region’s rich cultural and natural heritage while stimulating local economic activity through responsible travel.  The campaign focuses on attracting new-generation travelers by promoting meaningful, culture-based experiences that help distribute income to local communities in line with Thailand’s year-round tourism development goals.

Mr. Atthaphon Wannakit, Director of the Northeast Region, Tourism Authority of Thailand, stated that in 2025, TAT Northeast Region continues to promote tourism under the concept ‘Traditions, Isan Colors, Way of Faith’, which celebrates the region’s identity as home to five World Heritage Sites and the diverse cultures of the Mekong River.  Through music festivals, cultural events, and local cuisine, we aim to create lasting impressions while generating income for communities.  The ‘Isan Greencation’ campaign presents Isan as an ideal destination for the rainy season, offering both natural beauty and cultural depth.  As part of the campaign, TAT has partnered with KTC to offer special privileges that encourage travel and spending in the region.

Ms. Varitta Phatanarajta, Head of Credit Card Marketing Division at KTC, added that KTC is committed to supporting domestic tourism, particularly in the Northeast, which offers unique cultural, culinary, and natural experiences.  Through this collaboration with TAT, we aim to make travel more accessible and rewarding for KTC members while contributing to local economic growth.

The ‘Isan Greencation: Hot Deals This Green Season’ campaign runs from June 23 to September 15, 2025, offering benefits for KTC credit cardmembers at over 110 participating hotels and restaurants across Northeastern Thailand, including:

  • Room rates starting from 990 baht per night at selected hotels
  • Up to 10% discount at participating restaurants
  • A 100 baht PT fuel discount E-coupon for KTC VISA, MASTERCARD, and UnionPay credit cardmembers who spend 1,000 baht or more per sales slip at participating merchants (limited to 2,000 redemptions throughout the campaign)
  • The special 20% discount promotion on all domestic routes from Thai Vietjet Airlines.

The partnership reflects a joint effort to promote sustainable tourism, support local entrepreneurs, and reinforce the Northeastern region’s role as a key destination for cultural and nature-based travel during Thailand’s Green Season.
