Mitihoon – Bangkok, Thailand (September 03, 2025) – Nissan Thailand today celebrates a significant milestone with the completion of the line integration project at its Samut Prakarn plant. Kickstarted in June 2025, the Thai line integration is part of the company’s Re:Nissan and aimed at enhancing efficiency and competitiveness while preparing for future new model localization.

Toshihiro Fujiki, President of Nissan Thailand and ASEAN, said, Building on Nissan’s long-term commitment to continued local production in Thailand, the transformation of our production lines will enable us to adapt quickly to changes in the market environment, enhance our competitiveness and drive robust and sustainable growth for our future in Thailand and ASEAN.”

The completion of this strategic project is a proof of the company’s confidence in the skilled Thai workforce. Nissan Thailand held a special event with employees and management to commemorate this achievement with the offline ceremony of the new integrated line. The company was honored by the presence of executives from its long-standing partner, Siam Motors Group, Dr. Phornthep Phornprapha, Chairman, Mr. Prakasit Phornprapha, President and other executives.

“We achieved one big milestone in Nissan’s journey in Thailand thanks to a strong synergy with our local partner as well as the contribution of all our staff at the manufacturing plant. Employees’ passion to embrace changes continues to inspire, and with this spirit, Nissan will continue growing together with Thai society while creating long-term value for our customers, employees, partners, and the wider community”, said Fujiki.

The Thai line integration signaled a strategic shift to a single, more efficient and flexible assembly line. The upgrade enhances the plant’s flexibility and capability not only to produce key models, namely Almera, Kicks e-POWER, Navara, and Terra, but also to prepare the facility for future new model localization. In addition to the domestic market, the Nissan Thailand plant has also produced vehicles for export to more than 100 destinations around the world. In Thailand, Nissan is selling the Almera, Kicks e-POWER, Navara, Terra and import models, the Serena e-POWER and S-Hybrid.
