Mitihoon – October 3, 2025 – True Corporation Plc. continues to closely monitor nationwide flooding and has fielded on-the-ground network teams to service base stations and strengthen 5G/4G mobile communications in the latest affected areas of Tron District, Uttaradit Province, as well as other flooded areas of the province. The effort aims to ease hardship for residents and support ongoing relief operations. True Corporation has also delivered relief kits containing dry food and drinking water for immediate assistance.
Although floodwaters have begun to subside in some locations, conditions remain uncertain. Low-lying areas of Tron District are still flooded, including Tron Hospital, a critical healthcare facility. True Corporation has mobilized network engineers and technicians to ensure stable performance and continuity of 5G and 4G services during the flooding.
On-the-ground measures by True Corporation’s network team in Tron District, Uttaradit
- Priority servicing of base stations: using flat-bottom boats to reach flooded sites, inspect and maintain equipment, and restore service so communities remain connected.
- Emergency power backup: deploying generators, fuel, and batteries at sites that have lost or are at risk of losing grid power due to flooding, to maintain uninterrupted service.
- Coverage reinforcement at critical locations: deploying a Cell-on-Wheels (COW) to expand and strengthen mobile coverage around Tron Hospital and nearby areas, supporting medical staff and emergency operations.
True Corporation’s 5G/4G connectivity supports medical personnel, local communities, and disaster-response agencies, helping patients and families stay connected and enabling residents to follow official updates. The company is also assisting government agencies, local administrative organizations, and volunteers who are helping affected residents and restoring impacted areas as quickly as possible.
In addition, True Corporation has activated a dedicated War Room at its Business and Network Intelligence Center (BNIC), integrated with AI systems to monitor and manage the nationwide network 24 hours a day. True Corporation is coordinating closely with National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), and other relevant agencies to continuously support relief efforts and stand with the Thai people during this natural disaster.
