Mitihoon – As household debt has become one of the nation’s most pressing challenges, meaningful solutions cannot come from a single training session. True change stems from nurturing “The Power of Knowledge Creates Change” which continuously expands, multiplies, and endures far beyond the knowledge gained from classrooms.
Over the past nine years, Thai Credit Bank’s “Tang To Know-how” program has travelled alongside people across the country, offering financial knowledge with genuine intention and heartfelt commitment. The goal is simple, yet profound: to give everyone the opportunity to have an understanding on financial literacy and make decisions based on this knowledge to ensure prudential future.
In 2026, the program is proudly stepping into its 10th year, a decade of learning, empowerment, and shared growth. What the bank values most is not just the number of participants who have trained, but the remarkable transformation happening along the way: seeing those who once came as learners are now becoming trainers themselves, carrying their knowledge into their communities and opening doors for others just as someone once opened a door for them.
A Small Spark of the Heart That Grows Into Endless Inspiration.
The Power of Passing Knowledge Forward Growing in the Hearts of People at Thai Credit Bank, we believe that everyone has value. And when learners step forward to become knowledge sharers, real change can truly happen in society.
What makes the “Tang To Know-how” program different from ordinary financial education is that participants don’t stop at applying the knowledge into their own lives, they are further empowering to become “New-Generation Financial Trainers” through a structured and intensive Train-the-Trainer program because the bank believes that “Everyone Matters” and everyone has potential to pass on the knowledge to others, it does not matter if they are branch managers, government officers, community leaders, teachers, or even young people.
Today, more than 692 certified financial trainers have graduated from the program, representing a wide range of professions: branch managers, public-sector personnel, school representatives, savings groups, and community leaders.
They are not just recipients of financial knowledge. They are the connectors the ones expanding financial understanding throughout communities, helping to grow and flourish across society.
Multiplying Impact Not Just Linear Growth
The development of community trainers who were former learners has created a “powerful multiplier effect.” The program no longer relies solely on trainers from the bank, but it has expanded its reach by cultivating hundreds of new trainers who are ready to share financial knowledge with communities nationwide.
Across Thailand, all 281 Thai Credit Bank Learning Centers are not only serving as financial service centers, but they have also evolved into “community financial knowledge hubs.” These centers are opened to everyone free of charge, supported by local trainers who truly understand the unique context of each area. They deliver financial knowledge with a shared belief: that everyone matters and deserves equal access to learning and opportunity.
A real example that proves it clearly: Youth are “Key Changemakers” who can spark knowledge within their communities
One of the project’s greatest points of pride and the clearest reflection of our “Everyone Matters” philosophy is the “Tang To Know-how Young Ambassador Camp” held at Mechai Pattana School in Buriram Province. A total of 140 students, from lower to upper secondary levels, joined the program. It marked as an important milestone in empowering young people to become “agents of change” individuals whose potential is just as valuable as any adult. In our eyes, youth hold the power to create meaningful transformations within their communities.
These students not only learned essential financial skills, but were also trained comprehensively in facilitation through an Active Learning approach that combined workshops, simulation games, and professional presentation practice. What is truly remarkable is that every participant not only passed the financial literacy assessment, but was also able to design a knowledge-sharing plan for 16 communities across Buriram, aiming to deliver financial education to over 480 people within three months.
This stands as powerful proof that “Everyone Matters” has no limits neither age nor background. Anyone can be nurtured into a changemaker for society. These young participants are the key to sustainable transformation, as they will pass knowledge forward to their families, friends, and communities in ways that are natural, credible, and deeply human.
Tangible Impact: When Knowledge Turns Into Action
Developing trainers from within the learner community is not just a beautiful concept, it is a proven model that delivers real and measurable results.
- 87% applied expense-management skills into their daily lives
• 82% began setting structured financial goals
• 67% started saving money consistently
These numbers demonstrate that knowledge sharing by those who have genuinely experienced the training is no less effective than instruction from bank trainers. In fact, it often creates deeper trust and understanding because community trainers live in the same context, face the same challenges, and most importantly, serve as “living proof” that everyone has the power to improve their lives.
When everyone matters, a knowledge network can grow without limits. True impact goes beyond numbers it becomes a force that transforms society.
At the heart of the program lies the development of learners into trainers a transformation that creates a “self-sustaining knowledge network” capable of growing on its own.
With 692 trainers spreading across the country, each able to pass their knowledge on to dozens more, a continuous “wave of learning” is formed expanding naturally through the power of people, rather than relying solely on centralized action.
This is the difference between “giving knowledge” and “enabling knowledge to grow.” Direct teaching has its limits. But when learners are empowered to become trainers and when we believe that everyone matters and holds the potential to create change the impact multiplies endlessly.
Seen from a wider perspective, the “Tang To Know-how” program has conducted more than 7,109 training sessions nationwide, reaching 296,473 people. Yet the true significance goes beyond the numbers. It lies in the growth of 692 trainers, each ready to pass knowledge forward and create meaningful, ongoing impact.
If each trainer shares what they have learned with just 100 more people, at least 69,200 additional individuals will gain access to financial knowledge. And when these individuals pass it forward again, the impact multiplies exponentiallyม spreading far beyond what any single organization could achieve alone.
The “Tang To Know-how” program has proven that solving household debt and building financial resilience in Thai society is not about lectures in meeting rooms. It is about sparking a learning movement one that grows continuously and organically.
When trained participants become trainers, and trainers nurture new trainers in turn, the cycle becomes self-propelling. This is how knowledge transforms into a true social movement, building a financially resilient society through the power of ordinary people who step forward as changemakers helping advance equality and opportunity across the nation, in line with our Thai Credit Bank philosophy “Everyone Matters.”
