Mitihoon – December 29, 2026 – True Corporation is working closely with the Royal Thai Army and the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) to mobilize teams to border areas across seven affected provinces along the Thai–Cambodian border, accelerating repairs to base stations, signal towers, and fiber-optic networks to restore normal service. The most severe damage was recorded in Sisaket, Surin, and Sa Kaeo, where BM-21 rocket attacks struck civilian areas near the border, damaging homes and critical community infrastructure. True’s network engineers have been restoring mobile signals continuously before and after ceasefire negotiations, prioritizing key routes including Ban Phumisrol and Ban Nong Mek in Kantharalak District, Sisaket.
Previously, True Corporation implemented comprehensive assistance measures for communities affected by the Thai–Cambodian border situation, ensuring evacuees at temporary shelters could maintain access to communication and information. These measures include installing televisions with TrueVisions NOW to provide news updates and entertainment, deploying Free WiFi, distributing free SIM cards, and setting up mobile charging points, power banks, and portable backup batteries. Affected customers also received 10GB of free mobile data valid for seven days to help ease communication burdens during the crisis.
At the same time, True Corporation has urgently strengthened network readiness by deploying Cell-on-Wheels (COW) mobile base stations and installing Temporary Sites to enhance 5G and 4G coverage at evacuation shelters and other critical locations. Payment deadlines and service validity have also been extended for postpaid customers across all services in affected areas. Network performance is being monitored around the clock through the company’s Business and Network Intelligence Center (BNIC), which uses AI analytics and 24/7 operations teams to ensure swift resolution of any network issues.
True Corporation reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the military, government agencies, and the NBTC to ensure the highest efficiency of communications infrastructure, including strict compliance with signal control policies in designated areas along the Thai–Cambodian border and other locations, in support of national security operations. The company also extends its support and encouragement to affected residents, military personnel, government officials, and all agencies on the ground as they work together to navigate the situation safely.
