First Time in Thailand! UOB Asset Management Partners with PTTEP and Thai Oil to Launch “Mutual Fund Linked to ESG Activities”

Mitihoon – Mr. Vana Bulbon, Chief Executive Officer, UOB Asset Management (Thailand), Mrs. Chanamas Sasnanand, Executive Vice President, Finance and Accounting Group, PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited or PTTEP and Mrs. Wanida Boonpiraks, Executive Vice President, Finance and Accounting, Thai Oil Public Company Limited, jointly announced the launch of “The 1^st  Mutual Fund x ESG Activities Campaign”, which integrates investment management with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.

This initiative represents a significant collaboration among UOB Asset Management (Thailand), PTTEP, and Thai Oil to promote the concept of sustainable investing. A portion of the mutual fund management fees—without affecting investors’ returns—will be allocated to support the “Trees for Us” project by the Population and Community Development Association (PDA). The initiative aims to increase green areas, mitigate the impact of air pollution, and promote environmental stewardship in Thailand.

PTTEP and Thai Oil are committed to sustainable investing, placing importance on both financial returns and ESG principles as key drivers for creating long-term value for all stakeholders. This collaboration aligns with the policies of both companies to support the development of a capital market that emphasizes ESG alongside appropriate financial returns, while contributing to the advancement of a more sustainable economy.
