Mitihoon – True Corporation has completed key preparations to ensure full readiness of its 5G and 4G networks in support of Thailand’s general election and constitutional referendum on Feb. 8, 2026. The company aims to support citizens traveling to cast their votes, while also enabling smooth coordination and election result reporting by officials nationwide. True has activated its highest level of nationwide network readiness and is deploying AI-driven network automation to efficiently manage network performance in key areas during peak usage periods.
True Corporation is using network usage insights from the early voting day on Feb. 1, 2026 as a case study to plan for election day, when both mobile voice and data usage are expected to rise significantly. Peak usage is anticipated during the morning voting window from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and again shortly before polls close from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional traffic is also expected after poll closing, as citizens and officials closely follow election updates and results.
Most recently, True’s network operations team, led by Mr. Khurrum Ashfaque, Chief Network Officer, and Mr. Jirachai Kunakorn, Deputy Chief Network Officer, conducted on-site inspections and testing of 5G and 4G network performance in key areas to ensure readiness and build confidence for customers and election-related operations.

Boosting Coverage in High-Traffic Areas with COW Deployments
True Corporation has deployed additional Cell-On-Wheels (COW) to strengthen coverage and capacity in high-traffic voting areas. Each COW supports both 5G and 4G services using high-performance frequency bands and can accommodate more than 50,000 concurrent users per location.
True Corporation has also strengthened network readiness across Bangkok’s 33 constituencies, as well as provinces expected to see high voter turnout, including Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani, Chiang Mai, and Chonburi, among others. Coverage plans also include polling stations nationwide, political party offices, press briefing venues, and election result reporting locations.
Elevating Network Intelligence with AI-Driven Automation
As Thailand’s first mobile operator to receive the TM Forum Autonomous Network Level 4.0 (AN Level 4.0) validation, True Corporation is applying its Highly Autonomous Network capabilities to manage connectivity during critical national moments such as the election.

This ensures rapid response to any situation and supports network stability during fast-changing usage patterns.
The strengthened network performance will not only enable citizens to communicate, post, share, and make video calls smoothly, but also support travel and voting activities, as well as coordination, election result reporting, and operational work by officials and related agencies throughout the election process.
