Mitihoon – The 17th edition of the Queen’s Cup Pink Polo 2026 concluded with great success and heartfelt celebration on Saturday 28 February 2026, at the Thai Polo & Equestrian Club, Pattaya. The international women’s charity polo tournament was held in competition for The Royal Trophy graciously bestowed by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother, with proceeds dedicated to supporting underprivileged breast cancer patients under the care of the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer.
Organised by B.Grimm and led by Mr. Harald Link, Chairman of B.Grimm and President of the Thailand Equestrian Federation under Royal Patronage, together with Ms. Nunthinee Tanner, Vice President of the Federation and Chairwoman of the tournament, the event welcomed international women’s polo teams from Thailand, Singapore, and South Korea.
This year’s final match featured a thrilling showdown between the host team, Thailand, and the South Korean team, played before an enthusiastic audience of supporters. The host team emerged victorious and proudly received the Royal Trophy amid vibrant cheers and celebration.
Ms. Nunthinee Tanner, Thailand’s first female polo player and Chairwoman of the tournament, emphasised that Pink Polo was established as a women’s charity polo event with the objective of raising funds to support breast cancer patients under the care of the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer. Guided by its mission of “Prevention, Treatment, and Care,” the Centre is committed to providing comprehensive support for patients while promoting greater awareness and encouraging Thai women to prioritise early screening.
“As a woman, I sincerely invite everyone to unite in contributing to society by supporting the Centre through Pink Polo,” Ms. Tanner said. “This tournament not only raises vital funds but also promotes women’s polo in Thailand, inspiring a new generation of female athletes to pursue the sport and compete internationally. It remains a meaningful social initiative that continues to receive strong and encouraging support.”
Dr. Kris Chatamra, Founder and Chairman of the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation, highlighted more than two decades of dedicated work under the royal initiative of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother, ensuring the Centre serves as a refuge for women across Thailand. The Centre has implemented numerous impactful programmes spanning prevention, treatment, and patient care. These include medical equipment procurement initiatives, the Cellular Immunotherapy Project, international conferences and seminars to advance breast cancer treatment, nationwide awareness campaigns, and community outreach programmes providing breast and cervical cancer screening in underserved areas. The Pink Park Village residential project was also established to support long-term care and rehabilitation. Each initiative plays a vital role in improving the quality of life for women across the country.
Adding to the excitement, the event also featured the inaugural B.Grimm Pink Cup CSIY-B Pattaya 2026, an international youth show jumping competition that attracted young equestrian athletes from 11 countries, reflecting Thailand’s growing role as a regional hub for international equestrian sport.
Guests enjoyed a wide range of activities presented by event sponsors, offering engaging experiences and interactive booths throughout the day. The event also welcomed cheerleaders from South Korea, whose lively performances brought vibrant energy and colour to the occasion, creating excitement and delight among guests.
Beyond the sporting competition, the event offered a variety of activities for guests of all ages, making it a memorable family-friendly occasion. Highlights included the elegant parade of classic cars leading both competing teams onto the field, followed by the signature Horseback Fashion Show, led by Ms. Nunthinee Tanner and honorary models riding alongside her.
One of the most cherished traditions of polo, “Stomping of Divots,” once again invited guests onto the field during halftime. Spectators enthusiastically participated in the customary practice of stepping onto the pitch to replace divots and smooth the turf, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere as guests of all generations joined together in celebration.
The event concluded with the presentation of the Best Dress Awards and Best Hat Awards, recognising distinguished guests for their elegance and style.
Now in its 17th year, the Queen’s Cup Pink Polo continues to stand as one of Thailand’s premier women’s charity polo tournaments, combining world-class sport, refined social engagement, and a shared commitment to supporting breast cancer patients. Beyond the excitement of competition, attendees once again experienced the profound fulfilment of contributing to a meaningful cause that uplifts and empowers women throughout the nation.
