Mitihoon – Maxim Thailand met with Krungthai Panich Insurance Public Company Limited to further strengthen their collaboration and reaffirm their shared commitment to supporting driver-partners—particularly those transitioning their vehicles to public transportation registration—in achieving full compliance with regulatory requirements.

The meeting underscored both organizations’ proactive approach to delivering practical and continuous insurance to drivers. Discussions focused on reviewing current initiatives and identifying additional measures to streamline administrative procedures, reduce documentation burdens, and simplify the registration process.

Maxim Thailand provides comprehensive support for drivers transitioning to public transportation vehicle registration, including guidance, document preparation, and access to legally compliant motor insurance. In partnership with Krungthai Panich Insurance Public Company Limited (KPI), the companies also work to improve insurance services tailored for public transport drivers.

This cooperation simplifies both insurance procedures and payment processes. Drivers can pay insurance premiums in installments while continuing to earn income through the Maxim platform, reducing their financial burden during the transition. At the same time, it reinforces the shared goal of elevating safety standards and enabling drivers to integrate smoothly into a fully compliant regulatory framework. These initiatives contribute to strengthening the sustainability and long-term development of Thailand’s ride-hailing ecosystem.

Mr. Brian Reka-kanakul, Vice President of Partner and Digital Department of KPI, said: “During our visit to Maxim’s Chiang Mai team, I was impressed by their open and forward-thinking leadership. Maxim plays a vital role in Thailand’s ride-hailing ecosystem, supporting local economies and providing flexible income for drivers. At Krungthai Panich Insurance (KPI), we work closely with Maxim to offer simple, integrated protection for both drivers and riders. By embedding insurance into the ride experience, we make travel safer and more convenient. Looking ahead, we see opportunities to expand our collaboration with tailored coverage and digital solutions that enhance trust and safety across Thailand’s growing mobility sector.”

Mr. Pongpath Aksaraworakarn, Managing Director of Maxim Thailand, said: “Maxim is committed to building a sustainable and reliable transportation ecosystem for everyone. We believe that our driver-partners are at the heart of our service, and we have always prioritized supporting them to the fullest. We also aim to create opportunities for drivers to earn income while complying with regulations, through our collaboration with leading partners such as KPI, to ensure that every step of the process is simple and convenient. This is part of Maxim’s mission to raise safety standards, support professional stability, and strengthen the sustainability of Thailand’s ride-hailing ecosystem.”

Maxim Thailand remains committed to building strong partnerships across sectors to develop responsive support measures aligned with evolving industry regulations, reaffirming its dedication to standing alongside drivers at every stage of the transition.
