Mitihoon – Bangkok, July 9, 2026 – Maxim is expanding its small business support programme, focusing on improving public gathering places and raising sanitary standards at retail markets. The initiative covers not only the exterior design of shops but also the interior arrangement of market pavilions, public areas, cafés and restaurants. By providing necessary equipment and advisory assistance free of charge, the company helps entrepreneurs reduce operating costs while simultaneously fostering a cleaner, more organised and safer environment – for business owners, visitors and residents of surrounding neighbourhoods alike.
The programme was launched in 2022, concurrently with the rollout of Maxim’s services in Chiang Mai, which served as the pilot region. Since then, it has expanded to nearly all provinces where the company operates; more than 1,000 local organisations have taken part – including restaurants, hotels, service providers, educational institutions, as well as hundreds of retail outlets at food and clothing markets across the country.
Under the initiative, Maxim works together with entrepreneurs to determine the most sought‑after forms of support, taking into account the specific characteristics of each area. Participation is free and open to any business wishing to upgrade its premises – the scope of assistance is always tailored individually.
The company provides a wide range of practical materials and equipment: branded aprons, Field umbrellas, “Open/Closed” signs, wall and floor stands, as well as other elements that help make spaces more functional and attractive. Special attention is paid to the sanitary and hygienic aspect in high‑traffic areas: providing aprons to market vendors helps maintain cleanliness when handling products, reduces contamination risks, and creates a safer environment for both sellers and buyers. By covering these costs, Maxim allows entrepreneurs to free up resources for growing their business and improving service quality.
Mr. Pongpath Aksaraworakarn, Managing Director of Maxim Thailand, commented:
“By strengthening our support, we are purposefully investing in the improvement of places where hundreds of people gather every day – markets, public spaces, and food outlets. Raising sanitary standards and creating a comfortable urban environment are an integral part of our social mission. We see how these changes positively affect people’s health and well‑being, as well as the sustainable development of the regions where we operate.”
Beyond the described project, Maxim actively cooperates with government agencies, local authorities, educational and medical institutions, as well as civic organisations within other social programmes. Through these long‑term initiatives, the company strives to make the cities and towns of Thailand more liveable, strengthen the welfare of their residents, and contribute to the stable development of the country.
