Mitihoon – Asia Plus Group Holdings PCL (“ASP”) announced today that Dr. Kongkiat Opaswongkarn will be retiring from his roles as Chief Executive Officer of ASP and as a director of the Company and its subsidiaries, effective September 30, 2026.
Dr Kongkiat was the founder of Asset Plus Securities PCL, which subsequently merged with ABN Amro Asia Securities PCL to form the current ASP. He served as ASP’s CEO for over 20 years.
Khun Chali Sophonpanich, Chairman of ASP, said that “Under Dr. Kongkiat’s leadership, the company achieved great success and has become one of the leading companies in the industry”. He thanked Dr. Kongkiat for driving ASP’s business forward through an evolving market landscape, and for his strategic foresight and total commitment to the Company’s success.
“ASP is actively executing its CEO succession plan to ensure a smooth transition, and we will share an update in due course,” Khun Chali added.
Dr. Kongkiat Opaswongkarn expressed his gratitude to the Board of Directors, shareholders, clients, and all employees for their trust and strong support over the years. Today, the company has built a solid foundation with a well-diversified and sustainable revenue structure across various business segments, successfully achieving the vision established since his very first day of managing the company.
