Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. and its partners recently awarded eight scholarships totaling 400,000 baht under the 2026 “Education Opportunity for Fishermen’s Children” project, organized by the National Fisheries Association of Thailand (NFAT). The scholarships support undergraduate education for fishermen’s children at the Faculty of Fisheries, Kasetsart University, including five fourth-year students and three third-year students.
The project provides educational opportunities for students with good academic performance and conducts who need financial support. It helps ease families’ financial burdens and enables these young people to develop their potential, contribute to the fisheries sector and support the nation’s future development.
Chevron is committed to supporting education and youth development to help create opportunities and strengthen quality of life in Thai society. This year marks the 15th consecutive year that Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. and its partners — Mitsui Energy Development Co., Ltd., PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited, and Palang Sophon Co., Ltd. — have supported the National Fisheries Association of Thailand’s “Education Opportunity for Fishermen’s Children” project. Over the past 15 years, the partners have awarded 279 scholarships to fishermen’s children, representing a total contribution of 13,950,000 baht.
