True Corporation has stepped up emergency measures to safeguard its communication networks nationwide following continuous heavy rainfall since September 25, 2026, which has caused flooding in multiple areas across Bangkok, surrounding provinces and other regions. Field engineering teams have been mobilized to at-risk areas, with flood barriers installed at key switching centers and dedicated CCTV capabilities used for real-time monitoring of high-risk locations and water conditions. The company has also established emergency operation centers and regional response units to position teams and equipment closer to affected areas, enabling faster network response, particularly in locations where flooding has disrupted transportation. Maintaining communication is critical for the public to stay connected, access information and coordinate assistance.
True Installs Flood Barriers to Protect Switching centers in At-Risk Areas
True’s engineering teams have been mobilized across at-risk areas to closely monitor water levels and assess potential risks to base stations and switching centers. Flood barriers are being installed at key switching centers in at-risk areas to reduce the risk of floodwater reaching critical network equipment. Monitoring of base stations has also been intensified, particularly at locations near rivers and canals, in low-lying areas, and in areas with a history of flooding.

As flooding has restricted access to some areas, True has adjusted its field operations by assigning dedicated engineering teams to individual zones, enabling teams to operate closer to at-risk areas and respond more quickly as conditions evolve. Emergency operation centers and regional response units have also been established to enable faster local decision-making, manpower allocation and equipment dispatch, while reducing the need for teams to travel across affected areas. This approach enables continuous network operations around the clock.
Field engineering teams are working closely with the Business Network Intelligence Center (BNIC), which monitors network conditions nationwide 24 hours a day. Data from base stations, weather conditions and local situations are used to identify areas requiring close monitoring and prioritize the dispatch of engineering teams.
Backup Power and Fuel Supplies Ready to Support Continuous Operations
Maintaining power supply for base stations and network equipment is another key priority. In the event of disruption to the local power grid, True has prepared generators, batteries, backup power systems and fuel supplies in the field. Refueling logistics are also in place to keep generators operating continuously when needed, with access routes planned according to flood conditions in each area.
At the same time, Cell-on-Wheels (COW), along with vehicles and boats, are on standby to enable engineering teams to reach affected areas and strengthen network readiness. Priority is given to base stations serving hospitals, public relief centers, government agencies and other critical infrastructure, supporting communications and the coordination of assistance in affected areas.
