Mitihoon – Bangkok, September 28, 2026 – True Corporation, in coordination with the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), is supporting communications in the flood-affected Rom Klao Housing Community in Lat Krabang District, with concern for residents impacted by the flooding. True Corporation has urgently sent a Cell-On-Wheel (COW) mobile base station to the area to strengthen mobile connectivity for residents and support coordination among officials and agencies providing assistance.
Floodwaters remain high across the community, exceeding one meter in some locations and affecting residents, particularly patients, children and the elderly, while also making travel and access difficult. Multiple agencies are working to provide assistance, including evacuating residents, moving belongings, and delivering food, drinking water, basic medicines and other essential supplies to people who remain in the community.
With many residents still in the affected area, reliable communications are particularly important for requesting assistance, staying in contact with family members, and accessing the latest information and situation updates. Strengthening mobile connectivity therefore supports not only residents but also officials and agencies carrying out evacuations, providing assistance and delivering essential supplies, enabling communications and relief coordination to continue throughout the response.
The deployment of the COW is part of True Corporation’s emergency measures to maintain communications services around the clock amid heavy rainfall and flooding. Field engineering teams continue to closely monitor conditions and adjust operations and equipment as needed, supporting continuous access to communications, information and assistance at a time when connectivity is especially critical.
