Mitihoon – GO WHOLESALE Steps Up Restocking of Vegetables and Other Products to Meet Seasonal Demand for the 2026 Vegetarian Festival, Highlights Five Types of Food Businesses Seizing Revenue Opportunities, With Variety Food Restaurants Leading the Way

GO WHOLESALE – The food wholesale center always fresh-forward for food professionals, operated by Central Food Wholesale Ltd. under Central Retail – has highlighted five types of food businesses gearing up to seize opportunities during the 2026 Vegetarian Festival, with variety food restaurants leading the pack. The company is stepping up product and supply chain planning despite flooding, particularly by securing alternative sources of vegetables from farmers to ensure uninterrupted supplies and continuous stock replenishment throughout the festival. It is also joining forces with partner manufacturers of vegetarian food ingredients to offer promotional discounts, helping business operators reduce costs across all vegetarian product categories.

Most recently, GO WHOLESALE joined the Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, in launching “Thai Chuay Thai” Vegetarian Festival 2026.”  Ms. Suphajee Suthumpun, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, presided over the opening ceremony and visited GO WHOLESALE’s vegetarian product booth alongside Mr. Poonpong Naiyanapakorn, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, and Mr. Wattanasak Sur-iam, Director-General of the Department of Internal Trade. They were welcomed by Miss Orawan Sirichottirat, Head of Corporate Affairs & Government Relations of Central Retail Food.

Ms. Suny Sidik, Chief Commercial Officer of Central Food Wholesale Ltd., said that although many parts of Thailand continue to face flooding during the 2026 Vegetarian Festival period, the Center for Economic and Business Forecasting at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce expects this year’s festival to remain lively. Spending is projected to reach THB46.913 billion, an increase of 2.2% from the previous year and the highest level in six years. This presents an important opportunity for business operators looking to generate revenue during the festival. GO WHOLESALE has therefore adopted proactive product and supply chain management plans to replenish stocks continuously and meet rising demand.

“During this year’s Vegetarian Festival, GO WHOLESALE is focusing on sourcing sufficient products to meet seasonal demand from business operators and general consumers. These products include vegetables, food ingredients, processed foods, chilled and frozen ready-to-eat meals, soy milk, textured vegetable protein, and various seasonings. Based on orders placed for vegetarian ingredients in preparation for the festival, we have identified five types of food businesses aiming to generate sales during this period: Variety food restaurant, Thai authentic or Fusion, Noodle, Coffee/Drink and Bakery, Entrée’ over rice.

With vegetable farmers affected by flooding, GO WHOLESALE has also proactively planned product and supply chain management and secured alternative sources of supply. In particular, it is sourcing vegetables from Nakhon Pathom, Kanchanaburi, and Ratchaburi to replace supplies, especially leafy vegetables, from flood-affected growing areas in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Nonthaburi, and Pathum Thani. These efforts aim to prevent stock shortages and maintain uninterrupted supplies throughout the festival, including cabbage, napa cabbage, Chinese kale, choy sum, Chinese water spinach, pumpkin, taro, and all types of mushrooms.

“GO WHOLESALE understands the needs that arise during the Vegetarian Festival, especially those of business operators looking for ingredients, seasonings, and other products at value-for-money prices to manage their costs efficiently. We have therefore partnered with brands across all product categories, including seasonings and soy milk, to select more than 153 items for special discounts under the ‘Vegetarian Festival: Enjoy Merit, Happiness, and Good Health’ campaign at all GO WHOLESALE branches,” Ms. Suny said.

GO WHOLESALE’s “Vegetarian Festival: Enjoy Merit, Happiness, and Good Health” campaign runs from now through October 31, 2026, featuring more than 153 festival essentials with special offers including buy-one-get-one-free deals, volume discounts, additional “On Top” discounts, and extra savings from partner brands.
