Mitihoon – AGS Medtech (Thailand) Company Limited held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction at Amata City Chonburi 2 Industrial Estate.
The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Zhang Cheng, Managing Director of AGS Medtech (Thailand), and attended by senior executives from AGS Medtech and Amata Corporation, including Mr. Shiro Sadoshima, Executive Advisor; Mr. Yasuo Tsutsui, CEO of Industrial Estate Thailand; and Mr. Xu Genluo, Vice President of the China Market at Amata Corporation PCL.
AGS Medtech specializes in the research, development, manufacturing, and distribution of medical devices, particularly products for digestive endoscopy diagnosis and treatment.
The new facility will be the company’s first overseas production site and will support exports to more than 40 countries. The project represents an investment of approximately 851 million Thai baht and will include a 100,000-square-meter cleanroom facility, intelligent warehousing, and sterilization facilities.
The investment is expected to strengthen local supply chains, create employment, and promote technology transfer in Thailand. Amata congratulates AGS Medtech on this milestone and remains committed to supporting its long-term growth and success.
