
Mitihoon – Recently, Mr. Wittapon Jawjit, Head of Banpu People, Banpu Public Company Limited, delivered a presentation on “AI-Driven HR” at the International HR Conference 2025, held to mark the 60th anniversary of the Personnel Management Association of Thailand (PMAT) at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. He emphasized Banpu’s view that we see AI as a colleague—one that supports employees in addressing business challenges, handling complex tasks, improving work efficiency, and enhancing transparency in human resource management.
Mr. Wittapon presented case studies illustrating how Banpu integrates AI across its diverse business operations. In Energy Trading, AI helps specialists analyze large and complex datasets and forecast electricity demand trends with greater accuracy. In supply chain and coal logistics, AI supports employees in managing multi-dimensional tasks such as logistics route simulations, which enhance quality control to meet customer specifications. AI is also applied to real-time mining data to analyze environmental conditions, improve safety, and increase production efficiency. In E-Mobility, AI is used to optimize parcel loading—calculating how to load the maximum volume in the shortest amount of time—enabling customers to capture tangible value and strengthen their competitive advantage. Within HR, Banpu also applies AI in sensitive processes such as performance evaluation and fair talent identification, contributing to more consistent, efficient, and transparent people management.
