Mitihoon – Generali Thailand continues to strengthen its business portfolio by launching new products targeting the online insurance market under the concept of “Digital Insurance.” The initiative focuses on designing a diverse range of products that truly meet the needs of digital-era consumers. It highlights convenience, speed, transparency, and the ability for customers to manage every step themselves through an online platform—from selecting insurance plans and choosing coverage that suits their needs, making payments, to receiving policies and accessing comprehensive after-sales services.
Ms. Chorfa Yuktanun, Chief Marketing and Customer Officer of Generali Thailand, said, “The year 2026 marks the year Generali Thailand takes a serious step forward in its digital strategy, both in terms of products and customer experience. We have therefore developed a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) digital sales channel by enhancing our online platform to support 100% Self-Service. This allows customers to choose insurance plans and coverage that suit their lifestyle and make purchase decisions independently through the digital platform, without complicated processes. Our goal is to elevate the customer experience in line with today’s lifestyle.”
Recent research has found that modern consumers, particularly Gen Z and Millennials, increasingly prefer to research information independently before making purchasing decisions. They seek transparent information that can be compared instantly, make quick decisions once they are confident, and prefer not to wait for paperwork or multi-day approval processes. They also demand digital platforms that are easy to use, uncomplicated, and offer Paperless and Auto-approve experiences that match today’s fast-paced lifestyle. Therefore, the company has focused on developing new products that fully address these needs, while introducing a series of new digital products through Generali’s “Digital Insurance” platform. Customers can select insurance plans and coverage that suit them and complete their purchase within just a few minutes.
The digital products that Generali Thailand plans to pilot this year include five products:
GEN Travel Safe – An online travel insurance product that provides life and medical expense coverage. Customers can choose from 6 plans designed to suit different travel styles, with coverage of up to 6 million baht. Premiums start at only 55 baht per trip, or 1,029 baht per year for an annual plan for frequent travelers. The plan also includes Smart Delay privileges, allowing access to airport lounges when flights are delayed for customers in all plans, as well as coverage for damaged baggage and a 100% refund if a visa application is not approved.
GEN Health First – An online health insurance product with lump-sum coverage of up to 1 million baht and unlimited room charges when selecting the 1-million-baht plan. Customers can also choose to add OPD coverage and receive additional dental benefits, as well as premium discounts for customers who make no claims in the following year.
GEN Health Mini – An affordable lump-sum health insurance plan with premiums starting from only 13 baht per day and coverage of up to 300,000 baht. It is suitable for freelancers or those starting their health insurance planning for the first time and looking for affordable coverage.
GEN Health Top up – A health insurance plan designed to supplement excess medical expenses beyond existing benefits or employee group health insurance coverage, offering lump-sum protection of up to 300,000 baht with premiums starting from only 16 baht per day.
PA Koom Sure – Personal accident insurance with premiums starting from only 5 baht per day, offering accidental death coverage of up to 1 million baht. It also includes medical expense coverage for accidents, motorcycle driving or riding coverage, bone fracture protection, and income compensation in the event of ICU hospitalization.
Ms. Chorfa added, “The development of Digital Insurance is not simply about bringing insurance products onto online channels. It is about elevating the platform into an All-in-one Insurance Platform where customers can manage everything themselves—from before purchasing, during the policy period, to after-sales services. Through the GEN365 application, customers can access services such as online policy management, E-Card, online claims, E-Payment, and even exclusive privileges designed specifically for valued customers. This reflects Generali’s commitment to creating an insurance experience that is simple, transparent, and truly meets the lifestyle needs of modern consumers through a complete online journey.”
